Born and raised in Stuttgart, he absolved his study in Zagreb and became German and Informatics teacher, alongside his DJ-passion. Jogarde or Josip Hubzin is primarily a record collector with a DJ's ear for the dance floor. He discovered his affinity for all kind of black rooted music in the early nintees playing stuff for local b-boys. It didn't take him long to realize that all the music gave him a strong feeling of excitement, pleasure and a kind of healing effect. So he began collecting records. He never liked to be a DJ, but he wanted to save the vinyl so people came asking him to share the stuff, the feeling. And then it happened...Jogarde has played a wide range of clubs & events, he has an all time residency at Masters Zagreb and did good work for a few years with his old partner on decks Blacksoul at Club Aquarius throwing the *Stylish clubnight. In his opinion mixing and creating music has much to do with cooking and getting involved with home made food, experimenting with herbs and spices. It's like a reflection to his relationship with music...it's all about freestyle (Jazz, Funk, Afro-Latin, Post Disco, Deep Soul House, Detroit and Classics). That's probably why he named his monthly program "Freilauf" which means freewheel. You know that feeling when you ride a bicycle without using the pedals... The program is freelancing and so far held at Masters and Aquarius, where he hosted and played alongside Dixon, Âme, Tiefschwarz and many other national and international known DJ-names to mention a few.
