Jogarde (Freilauf) | Zagreb, Croatia
Born and raised in Stuttgart Jogarde or Josip Hubzin is primarily a record collector with a DJ's ear for the dance floor. Discovering his affinity for all kind of black rooted music in the early nintees while playing stuff for local b-boys, it didn't take him long to realize that although he wasn't keen on being a DJ, he had to stay one.
Meanwhile, after his studies in Zagreb eventually led him to stay in Croatia's capital, Jogarde has played a wide range of clubs and events. Amongst them an all-time residency at Zagreb's famous club "Masters" and regular appearances at Aquarius Zagreb as well as being a host for and a DJ next to Henrik Schwarz, Prins Thomas, Darshan Jesrani, Andy Whittaker, Ilija Rudman, Theo Parrish, Gerd Janson, Trus'me, Dixon, Âme etc.
For Jogarde it's all all about music with soul, no matter what you call it: noodly Jazz, midtempo tunes, Afro, Disco, Deep House, Detroit, Classics, pure and cutting edge madness. That's probably why he named his monthly clubnight "Freilauf" (freewheel). You know that feeling when you ride a bicycle without using the pedals...
Jogarde is also part of the Kontrapunkt DJ collective in Zagreb led by Eddy Ramich (Compost) where he warmed up the floors for cats like Jazzanova, Recloose, Atjazz, Mad Mats and Rainer Trueby.

[►] attitude
Buy your music as much as possible, because artists need money to live, as same as we do. I love music and I'll do my best to get the original. Moreover music and art are Gods gift for better living.
If releases are posted up as free downloads as soon as they are released then the future of good music is bleak. If the producers don't get paid for the music they make then eventually they'll just stop making music. I hope this friendly request appeals to you as a music lover and you will respect my wishes.
